Students Breach Camberwell High School’s IT Department

Breach Leads to Personal Information Posted Online

Investigations continue as Camberwell High School’s IT department was breached.  It is believed students of the school obtained staff login credentials, which led to the breach.  Students were able to obtain personal information of students and their families.  This information included Medicaid numbers, addresses, phone numbers and medical information.  After collecting the data, it was then posted online.

A similar breach occurred at Blackburn High School on May 19th.  Although the breaches released similar information, it is not believed the two attacks were related.

The local police department, as well as the Department of Education have been notified regarding both breaches.  At this time, the number of student files exposed has not been released.
