Jessie H. used our Ask the Burning Geek form to ask the following question:
I have camcorder footage in AVI video format on my computer but how do I put this onto a DVD so I can watch it on my Television?
Good question Jessie and thanks for asking. I have been answering this questions for over a year now so I thought I would put together this article so if anyone else is wondering how to do it I could refer them here. So here it goes…
There are different levels of DVD Authoring currently available: Professional and Simple authoring are the main types, to put a name on it. Most professionals will use a software like Sony Vegas which offer high end video production. But if you are not the Hollywood type like me and just want to create a simple DVD with a menu featuring your camcorder footage then I would recommend taking a look at a software application called ConvertXtoDVD.
Why I Think ConvertXtoDVD is the Best Video to DVD converter
I have two words that sum up this software: Super Easy! You don’t have to be a video wizard or anything like that to make a cool looking DVD disc using your video. This converter software is as simple as dragging in the video clips you want to convert and hitting the convert button. Really, that’s all you have to do, take a look at a video walkthrough below:
