While Microsoft announced the different editions of Windows 8 that will be available today, they also confirmed that Windows Server 8 will now be called “Windows Server 2012″ and have committed to launching it by the end of this year.

This week, Microsoft announced another step towards a final version of Windows 8 with a 3rd release preview scheduled for June.

It may seem a bit premature to start thinking about Windows 9, but we can assure you Microsoft aren’t and they are already working on this release, even though Windows 8 hasn’t been released yet.
