It was a big thing in the pub late last season watching the English Premier League. We all got there early to sample “soccer” in 3D. We rented the glasses, got a beer and sat down in great anticipation. What a let down it was, there is no perception of 3D whatsoever with the regular long view used to see most of the game. Only the close ups had depth. We prefer to watch the game in ordinary 2D nowadays and the experiment failed, as far as the customers were concerned.

I for one like 3d tv’s, yeah they are new , but when I first bought a dvd player everyone laughed at me…. yeah the improved but are still around.. who’s laughing now. So if you want one get one, if you don’t like them I for one don’t care, I am getting one…. Merry Christmas to me!

This too will pass in time, it’s just another trendy thing in my opinion. We can’t even get all of our current TV stations in HDTV yet that has been out for years? Good luck catching on 3DTV, you’re just as useful as my HD DVD player is!

Oh, but I guess you can watch Avatar 3D until you’re Blu in the face… (multiple puns intended)

Definitly not, it is a scam!
Phase shifting has nothing to do with 3D!
Watch 2 analog screens side by side CROSS EYED and you
will see 3D?? That is what they selling you!
I have seen real 3D, without glasses, and it did not look
    good at all!

  5. CrankCase says:

The current 3D TV technology is crap. It’s like watching cardboard cut-out objects, due to the fact that single objects lack 3 dimensional depth. I’m not at all impressed with it.
