When it comes to what security to get for W 7, I've found that there really isn't any question about the choice. Microsoft Security Essentials is clearly the way to go. Not only does it work much better than the commercial ones, but since it auto-updates several times a day its always pretty much up to date. Besides this, it has a fairly small footprint and automatically slows down so as not to put a drag on the processor when things are busy.

I agree with you Charles, i tested Essentials and was very good, detected more bad stuffs than other security programs, the only problem was the slow scan, but with one full scan should be ok.
