I knew CTRL and +/- and ZOOM but did not know David Clarke's which is, perhaps, easiest .. thanks, David and Chris ..
not sure any of these methods will actually work in java chatrooms where I have been having the problem as now I have the added problem of not being able to access chatrooms with my current java INcapability – I guess it would be .. lol

Control and + did it in Explorer when using View and Text Size did nothing! Thanks David Clarke!

David Clark has the right answer. However, I usually press ctrl and + or – because I am use to doing that. I use Firefox of course.

Neat tip, thank you. Also you can click Page, then Zoom, and adjust the size. I believe the settings are retained as I use this for my home page on a big LCD with high res and small fonts. Anyway, it's much easier than changing dpi which requires a reboot and can make some programs inoperable.

Maybe it's just on my computer, but try this: Press Ctrl, then roll your mouse wheel. The whole web page gets larger or smaller.
